The role
The Company Robert Half is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded Australian banking institution entering a significant phase of growth and regulatory maturity. As the organisation continues its evolution, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Treasury leader to take ownership of the Treasury Middle Office function. Reporting directly to the Group Treasurer, the role will lead the team responsible for Treasury reporting, analytics, modelling and securitisation trust management, ensuring the Bank's balance sheet management framework remains robust, scalable and aligned with evolving APRA regulatory expectations. Working closely with an experienced executive team, the successful candidate will join an organisation that combines the stability of an established banking institution with the energy and momentum of a business actively investing in its future. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in a highly visible function, influencing balance sheet strategy, funding, liquidity, capital management and regulatory reporting outcomes during a pivotal stage of the Bank's development. The Role The appointed candidate will lead a specialist team responsible for Treasury risk and regulatory reporting, Treasury models and systems, as well as securitisation trust management. Working with stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, Finance and Technology, they will provide critical insights supporting capital, liquidity, funding and interest rate risk management decisions, while ensuring the integrity of Treasury data, reporting frameworks and analytical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: Leading Treasury risk reporting and analytics across capital, liquidity, funding and IRRBB. Delivering insightful management reporting to Treasury, ALCO and Executive stakeholders. Overseeing Treasury regulatory reporting, including APS210, APS117 and related prudential submissions. Managing and enhancing Treasury modelling and ALM platforms, including QRM or similar systems. Providing governance across Treasury models, assumptions, methodologies and reporting frameworks. Overseeing securitisation trust management, investor reporting, RBA reporting and rating agency engagement. Driving the ongoing uplift of Treasury reporting capabilities to support the organisation's regulatory obligations. Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing Treasury Middle Office team. Supported by an experienced leadership team and a collaborative culture, the successful candidate will join a business where Treasury is viewed as a critical contributor to strategic decision-making rather than simply a reporting function. Your Profile You will be an experienced operator with deep Treasury experience, ideally gained within an APRA-regulated organisation. Specifically, you will have: Extensive experience within Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Financial Risk, ALM or Regulatory Reporting functions in an ADI banking environment. Strong working knowledge of APRA prudential standards and Treasury regulatory reporting requirements, including APS210, APS117 and associated reporting frameworks. Proven experience managing Treasury reporting, modelling or analytics teams. Deep understanding of liquidity risk, IRRBB, capital management and wholesale funding structures. Experience working with Treasury risk models and ALM systems such as QRM or comparable platforms. Exposure to securitisation funding programs and trust management activities. The ability to translate complex balance sheet, risk and regulatory information into meaningful insights for senior stakeholders. Strong leadership capability and a track record of developing high-performing teams. Having gained your Treasury or Balance Sheet Management experience within an APRA-regulated ADI, you will be a professional interested in taking your career to the next level in a fast-paced and growing lender with a significant pedigree and a great company culture.
