About the opportunity

Due to continued growth and exciting new projects, we have an opportunity for an experienced Welding Fabrication Inspector to join our team in our Kwinana Workshop and play a key role in supporting project delivery whilst upholding quality to meet and exceed client specifications, industry codes and internal quality standards.

In this role, you will:

* Conduct inspections of raw materials, welds, fabricated assemblies and finished products to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures and inspection test plans to guide accurate and effective inspection activities.
* Perform visual welding inspections and monitor fabrication processes to maintain quality assurance throughout production.
* Document inspection outcomes, maintain traceability, raise NCRs where required, and communicate findings and concerns to the Project Manager.
* Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors and certifying bodies whilst supporting quality investigations, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You're a detailed-oriented, collaborative, and results driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.

Hold a certificate 10 with certifications in VT, MT, PT, UT or welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, WTIA) considered highly advantageous.

3–7 years' experience in quality control within fabrication or heavy engineering environments.

You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

You have a solid understanding of welding standards such as ASME IX, AWS D1.1, and applicable Australian Standards, along with strong knowledge of fabrication codes with hands‑on experience using inspection tools, test equipment, and working within quality management systems such as ISO 9001.

Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
