Multiple permanent opportunities available
The Clinical Nurse Consultant is an expert clinical practice registered nurse who provides support and nursing leadership, coaching and mentorship within and across Ipswich Hospital and Ripley Health Service. This position provides expert knowledge, skill and abilities and guides clinical practice across services after-hours at Ipswich Hospital and all hours at Ripley Health Service to meet the strategic and operational objectives of safe, good quality patient-centred care. This role includes educational support for nursing and midwifery staff at all levels of practice.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrates contemporary expert level of contemporary clinical nursing knowledge, expertise and skills in a broad range of clinical nursing practice and leadership enabling the delivery and supporting high quality care
Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
Demonstrates the ability to educate, inform, counsel and support nursing and midwifery staff with contemporary clinical information at an advanced level.
Enthusiastically provides leadership for clinical services, leading by example, supporting and encouraging the staff and providing expert clinical nursing advice to the multidisciplinary health team.

Demonstrated legislation/policy knowledge and the ability to develop documents supporting the application of
Exemplifies the West Moreton Health Professional Practice Model by demonstrating person-centred care, professional excellence, safe and effective care delivery, commitment to quality and safety, and collaborative practice
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
