Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel
A permanent full-time opportunity exists to join the Infinite Care Legal team based in our Corporate Support Centre on the Gold Coast.
Key Responsibilities
* Reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial and legal documents
* Providing assistance with mergers and acquisitions, development and construction of new facilities
* Employment law matters
* Managing requests from internal stakeholders and providing reports to senior management personnel
* Providing ad hoc legal advice through research and consultation to support the Infinite Care Group
* Analysing and identifying legal risks and implications
* Coordinating and liaising with external legal advisors and consultants
* General administration requirements and ad hoc projects as directed
* Staying abreast of all new laws and regulations that may have implications for the Group
* Resolving complex matters with support from the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer
Requirements
* 5+ years post admission experience
* Qualified to practice law in Queensland with relevant law experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
* Exposure to the Aged Care sector would be advantageous but not essential
* Proven knowledge of legal concepts and their application to achieve effective business outcomes
* Ability to establish, maintain and enhance positive internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Effective and professional communication skills both verbally and in writing
* Strong attention to detail, documentation, drafting skills and timely communication is essential
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to produce quality work output within quick turnaround times
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong time management and organisation skills with ability to multi-task with pace
* A positive attitude and good sense of humour is a must
