* Sees challenges as opportunities
* Builds strong, capable teams
* Leads with clarity, optimism and accountability
* Knows how to turn strategy into action even in complex, fast‑moving political environments

You’ll have the opportunity to coach, inspire and lead your team to victory, while working closely with internal stakeholders, developers, consultants and the wider community to support safe, efficient and sustainable streetscape outcomes.

What you’ll be known for

* Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team across traffic engineering, development compliance and permits.
* Championing asset protection through proactive decision‑making and quality approvals.
* Creating a high‑performing, customer‑focused culture that balances service excellence with regulatory integrity
* Navigating competing priorities with confidence and sound judgement
* Driving continuous improvement, innovation and smarter ways of working

What you bring

* Demonstrated experience in local government, particularly within traffic, development and/or asset protection functions
* Proven leadership capability where you genuinely enjoy supporting, mentoring and empowering others
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence with credibility
* A solutions‑focused mindset with a calm, confident approach under pressure
* The courage to lead, the resilience to adapt, and the energy to bring people with you

Why join us?

* A visible leadership role with impact across the organisation

* A supportive environment that values initiative, learning and growth
* A role that builds your leadership profile and opens doors to future senior opportunities
