Infrastructure Planning Manager Role
The Queensland Government is seeking a permanent full-time Manager to lead and undertake the implementation of project functions across the division. The role will involve streamlining processes and shaping how projects are delivered to support educational outcomes.
About the Position
As a Manager within Infrastructure Services, you'll step into a leadership role, reporting directly to the Director, Infrastructure Planning Unit. You will lead a small team to engage with diverse stakeholders, provide strategic advice, navigate opportunities and complexities, support continuous improvement, and pursue best-practice initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of project functions moving from Infrastructure Delivery to the Infrastructure Planning Unit.
* Review current processes, tools and templates for optimization.
* Develop a transition plan to move these functions into the IPU.
* Identify areas for process improvements considering both the existing IPU and delivery process.
* Identify knowledge gaps within the IPU and determine upskilling requirements.
* Assess the current project handover process.
Requirements and Qualifications
You will have the leadership capability and relevant experience to communicate strategically and influence stakeholders, manage collaboration with subject-matter experts to translate strategy into practical actions, drive change within the division, and facilitate a culture of change management within capital infrastructure planning, design and innovation.
