About this role:
Main tasks: Be involved with planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the engineering and technical operations of Fangda Australia in Australia and New Zealand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Management and coordination of the project team, design team, merchandising team, finance team, quality safety team, curtain wall maintenance team, etc to ensure teams develop suitable plans/drawings/specifications/methods/procedures in accordance to engineering standards;
* Attend project design coordination meetings with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, architects, and consultants to develop compliant project designs in accordance with relevant standards and specifications, while promoting in-house systems and proposals.
* Coordinate with the in-house design team to develop and communicate project specifications, Australian Standards (AS) requirements, and installation methodologies, including but not limited to façade system design, shop drawings, stillage engineering, site drawings, packing proposals, and lifting plans.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure clear requirements are communicated across all parties, and manage ongoing design coordination including issuing RFIs and maintaining daily design-related communications.
* Assist the Project Manager with local procurement activities and contribute to design proposals involving locally sourced materials and products, including doors, louvres, and related items.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing installation plans and interpret shop drawings for installers to ensure smooth and efficient on-site installation.
* Support site installation inspections and assist in developing remedial solutions where required.
* Liaise with third-party consultants to obtain required design certifications, including REG 126, peer reviews, F3P1, FP1.4, and other relevant compliance documentation.
* Coordinate thermal performance analysis and report preparation with external consultants and in-house engineers.
* Assist with VMU and PMU design coordination, inspections, and related activities.
* Other Tasks As required.
To be successful in this role:
* At least bachelor degree in relevant field as this position is quite technical focused to ensure compliance and effective delivery of growing demand in the Australian and New Zealand market;
* Professional knowledge in engineering management and excellent communication skills with stakeholders of diversified background;
* Minimum 2 years closely related work experience in the industry;
* 3-10 years of experience in the commercial facade industry, or with a proven ability in a similar role is preferred
* Managing international projects experience will be advantageous;
* Mandarin is a must for communication with head office.
* Must have the right visa to work full-time in Australia.
