We're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a federal government team focused on improving participant experiences across complex services.
This is a hands‐on role where you'll lead research, map current and future state journeys, and drive meaningful service improvements using human‐centred design principles.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user insights
* Map current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) service experiences
* Facilitate workshops and design‐thinking sessions
* Create prototypes and concepts (Figma) to bring ideas to life
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver practical, user‐focused outcomes
Ideally you will have the following:
* Confident research and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience with Figma and design thinking methodologies
* Ability to solve problems and drive improvements end-to-end
Nice to have:
* Public sector or policy‐driven environment experience
This role will be offered as an initial 6 month contract.
Hybrid working options are available across Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
