Rural Business Support (RBS) is an independent not for profit organisation committed to assisting small businesses, farmers, landowners, and communities in Northern Territory and South Australia in achieving profitability and sustainability.
This includes delivering free, independent and confidential business financial counselling services for regionally based small business owners and primary producers.
We are seeking a Small Business Financial Counsellor to support drought and algal bloom affected small businesses across South Australia that are facing or at risk of financial hardship, particularly those across the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and Murraylands regions. Your main objective will be to help these businesses understand their financial position and develop effective strategies for the business owner to manage their circumstances.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
•Outstanding problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
•Demonstrated empathy and understanding towards clients experiencing financial stress.
•Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey financial information to clients.
•Knowledge of small business finance, banking processes and lending criteria, debt negotiation and mediation processes.
•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
•Proficiency in using various computer programs including spreadsheets and financial software.
•Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Diploma of Financial Counselling is desirable. Previous experience in business, finance, banking, and consulting will be highly regarded.
