Role Purpose
This full-time role is to support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and upholding food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, floors and workstations
* Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery are cleaned and stored correctly
* Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs
* Remove waste and maintain waste disposal areas in line with hygiene standards
* Support chefs during service with general tasks
* Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
* Ensure stock is handled, stored and rotated correctly
* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Skills and experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential)
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Good attention to detail and cleanliness
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
