About the Role
Are you a young, down-to-earth, reliable guy (18–28) who enjoys helping others and wants a meaningful job where you can make a real difference?
We're looking for genuine, enthusiastic male workers to join our close-knit team at Sunshine Support Care. We support young men with disabilities and focus on connection, routine, independence and a positive "big brother" style of mentorship.
This isn't a typical support job — it's fun, active, and extremely rewarding. We're after someone who wants to build real relationships with the people they support and be part of a team that genuinely cares.
What You'll Be Doing
* Helping with daily routines (meals, cleaning, hygiene prompts)
* Getting out into the community (gym, sports, events, activities)
* Building confidence, independence, and social skills
* Providing structure, emotional support, and healthy guidance
* Being a positive male role model
* No experience needed. We train you — what matters is your attitude.
The Right Applicant Is:
* Able to hold a conversation and build rapport
* A team player with a positive attitude
* Willing to learn our systems and practices
* Active, social, and comfortable mentoring young men
* Someone who shows up — every shift, on time
* ✘ You're just looking for easy money
* ✘ You struggle with punctuality
* ✘ You're uncomfortable working closely with young men who rely on routine
* ✘ You're only after casual "come and go" work
Our team is young, friendly, and tight-knit — we want someone who fits that dynamic so our clients feel safe around new faces.
Who This Job Suits
* School leavers wanting a long-term career
* Young tradies or hospitality/retail workers wanting a better path
* Uni students studying psychology, social work, youth work, fitness
* Anyone who wants meaningful work, not a "clock-in, clock-out" job
What We Offer
* Full training + ongoing support
* Growth and development opportunities
* A supportive team that actually cares
* Meaningful work with long-term impact
* Stable hours and consistent clients
