Head of Maintenance Planning at Cement Australia
We have an exciting opportunity to lead the maintenance planning team responsible for maintenance of plant and ancillaries, service contracts and management of site major contractors. You will ensure that systems, processes and plans are in place to effectively manage key assets through the daily and weekly plan, and you will be responsible for the maintenance management system for all planned maintenance activities with cost control methods in place.
Internally, this position will be known as 'Planning Manager'.
What You'll Do
Promote a positive safety culture, actively support site safety initiatives, standards and procedures, ensuring full compliance in day-to-day operations and shutdown situations.
Ensure maintenance plans are effectively managed to deliver environmental compliance and safety requirements.
Ensure internal auditing and close-out actions are delivered on time.
Develop a technically competent, motivated, functional and cohesive Maintenance Planning team.
Develop team succession plans, harness the talents of high performers and promote opportunities for development.
Ensure systems, processes and plans are in place to effectively manage kiln and cement milling shortstops.
Maintain the SAP maintenance management system for all planned maintenance activities to reflect the schedule and resource requirements within the overall integrated maintenance plan; ensure relevant work orders are generated, processed and closed out.
Identify opportunities for optimising plant and planning processes, continuous improvement and maximising value of maintenance spend.
Support development and delivery of maintenance budget, ensuring cost control methods are in place for shutdown delivery.
Utilise the planning process to deliver cost effective work packaging and a sustainable long-term inventory reduction.
Ensure plan attainment and other planning KPIs are met or exceeded.
Balance safety, cost, time, and resources in work delivery for successful outcomes.
Ensure ACR (Approved Contractor Register) compliance (audits up to date, etc.).
Monitor and track vendor/contractor performance during planned works and provide feedback to the Contract Owner.
Maintain financial, progress and productivity status reports of the weekly plan.
Maintain a planning backlog to zero and report on adherence to plan.
Ensure all statutory requirements for maintenance of pressure vessels, fire protection systems, cranes, etc., are maintained.
What You'll Bring
Proven heavy industrial maintenance and planning experience in a leadership role.
Experience in managing a functional team.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Microsoft Project.
Full understanding of SAP maintenance systems and processes.
Advanced knowledge of budget setting, tracking and forecasting.
