Description
Rex is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Flight Attendants to join its team in Melbourne. Candidates must be independent, self‐reliant and capable of managing the entire cabin alone, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight. Customer focus is essential, as solo Flight Attendants provide caring and personalised service while travelling to unique destinations across Australia. Attention to detail and a strong safety mindset are crucial for managing in-flight services while upholding high safety standards and adhering to aviation regulations.
Key Duties
* Conduct equipment and security checks
* Make in‐flight announcements
* Serve food and beverages
* Perform cleaning tasks
* Manage various cabin situations independently
Working Conditions
The role offers a balanced work/life schedule with competitive remuneration. It requires working on weekends, public holidays, early and late shifts, and occasional nights away from home.
Requirements
* At least 18 years old and possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
* Completed a minimum of three years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, or have worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least three of the past five years.
* Alternatively, have worked in the UK, Ireland, or the USA for three of the last five years, or have achieved an overall grade of 5.5 in the IELTS.
* Eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which includes a police security check, and hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
* Prior flying experience is not required; extensive training will be provided.
* Applicants should not be taller than 173 cm and must be able to swim unaided and fully clothed (swim assessment will be conducted).
* Flexibility to work varied hours, including holidays and peak periods.
* High level of personal presentation, natural willingness to assist and care for people, and prior experience in customer service.
