Are you ready to belong to a dynamic community where courage, creativity, and optimism are essential elements of our DNA? At ECU we're inspired by the incredible achievements of Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament and a lifelong champion of education. Empowered by her legacy, we're united in our vision to lead the sector in educational experience and expand our impact through world-class research.

Embrace an opportunity to become part of something extraordinary.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching)

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) provides strategic and operational leadership for learning and teaching across Edith Cowan University and will be a key adviser to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Education) and Vice-Chancellor on educational strategy.

The role champions a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and employability. With a focus on developing and implementing strategies that enables the University's commitment to outstanding and equitable student learning outcomes, the PVC will ensure that ECU's courses are learning-centred, future-focused, and strongly connected to real world practice.

The PVC will also lead our innovative Curriculum Transformation Program - ECU's approach to programmatic learning and assessment reform for a time of AI and rapidly changing student lives.

With a passion for supporting student success, candidates will bring the credibility and capability to engage colleagues and stakeholders to implement our vision. You will also exhibit an appropriate record of education leadership and management experience commensurate with being part of a high performing university leadership team. Outstanding communication skills and a data-led approach to decision making are essential, as is the ability to influence, inspire, think creatively and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
