A Rare Long-Term Role for an Experienced Private Chef
A professional Canberra family (husband, wife, and two teenage boys) is seeking a highly experienced Private Chef with proven private household experience to manage weekday meals and prepare food for weekends.
This role is NOT suitable for café or restaurant-only chefs. We are specifically seeking someone who understands private family service, discretion, and consistency within a home environment.
The Role
* Prepare fresh, high-quality lunches and dinners Monday–Friday
* Weekday meal preparation to cover weekends
* Plan weekly menus with variety and family appeal
* Cook healthy, balanced, home-style meals done exceptionally well
* Prepare snacks and light meals suitable for teenage boys
* Full end-to-end kitchen management:
* Grocery shopping and ordering
* Pantry, fridge, and freezer organisation
* Stock control, food labelling, and leftovers
* Maintain a spotless, organised kitchen at all times
Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
* Demonstrated experience as a Private Chef or Family Cook in private homes
* Minimum 5-7 years of private household chef experience required
* Strong understanding of service, discretion, and household etiquette
* Highly reliable, trustworthy, and discreet
* Comfortable cooking meals that teenagers will genuinely enjoy
* Excellent planning, organisation, and time management
* Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
* Australian resident seeking a long-term role
* Australian citizenship required
* High food safety and hygiene standards
* Private household references required x2
