Pembroke School is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Casual Nurse Register. This opportunity is ideal for qualified nurses seeking flexible, ad‑hoc engagement within a vibrant school community.
As part of our Student Wellbeing team, casual nurses will provide high‑quality first aid and health care to students and staff across the School's campuses. Engagements will occur on an as‑required basis to provide coverage during periods of leave or peak demand. While shifts are not regular or guaranteed, casual nurses play a valued role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our students.
About the Role
Working collaboratively with our permanent School Nurses and the Dean of Student Wellbeing, casual nurses will:
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Deliver professional first aid and medical support to students and staff.
* Administer medication and maintain accurate health records.
* Support students with chronic and high‑risk conditions.
* Provide care for boarding students when required.
* Assist with school activities, excursions, and camps when available.
* Contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.
About You
You will be a Registered Nurse (AHPRA‑registered) with a minimum of five years' experience, ideally including paediatric, emergency or general practice nursing. You are professional, calm under pressure, and able to communicate effectively with young people, staff, and families.
Experience in an educational or youth‑focused setting will be highly regarded.
