SEND Teaching Assistant – Flexible Supply Opportunities
These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You'll be supporting schools in Launceston and surrounding areas, working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Duties
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Support pupils with personal care needs where required
* Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
* Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with a range of needs (autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
