This role is well suited to someone with strong scripting and reporting skills who can bridge technical systems and business needs in a complex digital environment. Key role in supporting program-wide digital integration, reporting, and automation across a complex defence shipbuilding environment. This role bridges the gap between technical systems and business needs, ensuring that data flows, interfaces, and reporting solutions are both technically sound and strategically valuable. The analyst thrives in dynamic, evolving system landscapes and contributes to continuous improvement by identifying when to apply pragmatic, interim solutions and when to embed robust, long-term capabilities always guided by business value and operational context. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated scripts, interfaces, and data gateways to streamline workflows and improve data consistency. Design and deliver reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights for both technical and nontechnical audiences. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective reporting and system solutions. Main Duties Serve as interface between IT and business functions, addressing needs that fall between traditional support boundaries by translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring mutual understanding across domains. Support integration of business systems across engineering, logistics, production, and configuration management domains. Monitor and troubleshoot system integrations, scheduled tasks, and data flows across server environments. Identify and implement interim solutions in evolving system setups, ensuring continuity and usability. Contribute to the improvement of digital workflows, data quality, and system interoperability across the program. Requirements Degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related tertiary qualification or equivalent experience Australian Citizenship is essential Experience with scripting and automation (Python, SQL, or similar). Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Excel. Ability to work across technical and business domains and translate needs into solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Understanding of IT system landscapes, server environments, and basic infrastructure concepts. Experience working in dynamic environments with complex, evolving systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and system interactions.
