Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager located in Canberra. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves managing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as coordinating with auditors and preparing financial statements. The Finance Manager will also provide financial advice and support to the school leadership team to aid decision-making processes.
Qualifications
* Financial management and accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance
* Experience in payroll management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, CPA or relevant certification is a plus
* Prior experience in the education sector is advantageous
