Overview
This is a permanent full-time position as Teacher - English at Pinjarra Senior High School, commencing Term 1, 2026. Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023).
Position details and application process are part of a recruitment pilot to simplify applications for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided and application requirements include two character-limited responses addressing two Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed during further assessment for shortlisted applicants.

The School
Pinjarra Senior High School has served the community since 1921. The school provides programs for students from year 7–12, combining traditional and innovative approaches to prepare students for higher education, vocational training and employment. The school emphasises a learning culture focused on Growth Mindsets, quality teaching, and engaging pedagogy to support student growth.

Your Role
As an English Teacher, you will develop, review and deliver the English curriculum for Years 7–12, applying expertise across the English Learning Area to support student growth. The successful applicant should be able to differentiate the curriculum to support individual progress and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, parents/caregivers and external partners. Experience or interest in ATAR English is highly regarded but not essential.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights, apply for a WA Working with Children Check, and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number before starting.
