Payroll Administrator - RETAIL Head Office | 12-Month Contract
Adelaide Based | 30 Hours Over 5 Days | $60K-$70K + Super FTE

With a strong presence in the market and a dynamic support office team, they're looking for a capable Payroll Administrator to join their Adelaide-based head office on a part-time contract basis.
About the Role:
This is a 12-month contract position working 30 hours per week across five days. You'll play a key role in managing fortnightly payrolls and supporting broader payroll operations for a multi-site, fast-paced retail business. Accuracy, efficiency and a proactive mindset will be key to success in this role.
What You Will Do:
- Process fortnightly payrolls on a rotating weekly schedule across the business
- Review and input timesheets from multiple operational leaders
- Respond to payroll-related queries and process adjustments as needed
- Accurately manage incentive payments, reclassifications, wage changes and promotions
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance across systems
- Interpret relevant awards and agreements to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Prepare and verify weekly, monthly, and year-end reports
- Manage wage uploads and assist with Power BI data entry
- Monitor superannuation contributions and long service leave balances
- Support continuous improvement projects within the payroll function
- Contribute to reporting and compliance documentation
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, payroll compliance and award interpretation
- Confident using payroll software and comfortable working across multiple systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience working with dispersed or multi-site teams is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A genuine interest in driving accuracy and improving systems
