Community Solutions Group makes a difference in people's lives - supporting them to achieve their goals and working with them on their pathway to possibilities. We deliver a broad range of services focused on the wellbeing and independence of individuals, families and communities across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.
About The Role
We're currently on the lookout for a Field Officer to join our passionate and community-minded Apprenticeship and Traineeship team.
In this role, you'll support and guide apprentices and trainees through every stage of their journey—from their first day on the job to successful completion of their training. You'll also partner closely with host employers to ensure each placement adds real value and leads to long-term success for everyone involved.
You'll be on the road regularly, meeting face-to-face with host businesses, apprentices and trainees—so if you're someone who thrives on connection, loves variety, and enjoys helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
Other Duties Will Include
* Building and managing a caseload of apprentices and trainees
* Supporting host employers with recruitment, onboarding and performance management
* Providing high-quality mentoring and support to apprentices and trainees - especially during probation periods
* Conducting workplace visits, WHS inductions and safety checks
* Liaising with RTOs and monitoring training plans to ensure progress and compliance
* Identifying new host employers and opportunities for placements
* Developing our presence and brand in the community by selling our GTO services
* Managing documentation including contracts, agreements, and employment records
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* A confident communicator, equally comfortable speaking with apprentices and CEOs
* Highly organised, with great time management and attention to detail
* Skilled at building strong, positive relationships with stakeholders
* Able to adapt and think on their feet in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
* Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to making a difference
Bonus points if you have experience in Group Training, employment services, labour hire, trades, sales, or recruitment—but it's not essential.
What You'll Bring
* A business mindset and customer-focused approach
* The ability to balance compliance with care and compassion
* Strong administrative and IT skills (we'll show you our systems)
* A genuine passion for helping others succeed
* A collaborative spirit and a great sense of humour
Additional Requirements
* A current and valid Driver's Licence
* The right to work in Australia (citizen, PR or unrestricted visa)
* A current Working with Children Check / Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Willingness to undergo a Police Check (Fit2Work)
Benefits And Perks
* Salary Package up to $15,900 of your annual salary tax free, and additional $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
* Fully maintained vehicle
* Discounts on Corporate Private Health Insurance, selected Kia vehicles and white goods at Harvey Norman
* Discounted family gym memberships through Fitness Passport
* Supportive induction and learning opportunities
* 6 week's paid parental leave for primary carer
* Free coaching and counselling through our Employee Assistance Program
