We are looking for an experienced Emergency Services Operations Manager within our Medical and Emergency Response Services Division. Candidate must have an unparalleled Passion for Safety and exceptional knowledge and experience in the Public Safety Fire and Rescue Sector. Key to the role is extensive onsite and industry experience coupled with proven capability to manage remote teams and contracts from a technical, commercial and contracts perspective.
You will have ideally come from a background in emergency services and have an in-depth knowledge of both skills and legislation so as to lead and mentor your onsite teams. Coupling this with a strong commercial and contract management background this will ensure that clients and teams alike are supported and receive the desired outcome in FSA delivering against our promise.
The Role
The MERS Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operational execution of assigned contracts across Australia utilising our services team of approximately 150. This role must ensure that FSA meet our contractual scope of work requirements and KPI’s, ensure that all MERS contractual work is performance in a professional manner, in accordance with FSA internal SOP's (MERS, HSE, QA, RTO), Client specific SOP's, and medical directors clinical governance procedures.
This role is a senior leadership role within FSA and shall be ultimately responsible and accountable for FSA's contractual performance in the execution of our contract scope of work across MERS contracts, and the reputation of FSA MERS personnel with our clients. This role shall lead by example and demonstrate FSA's core values (Thirst for improvement, commitment to our team and clients, be memorable, passion for safety), and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and experience to FSA's clients, team, and stakeholders.
You are exceptionally organised, but at the same time able to be dynamic around rostering and site driven requests.
Reporting to the General Manager Medical and Emergency Response, you will primarily be responsible for-
· Fully accountable for project budgets, Resourcing and HR activities.
· Managing, Mentoring and guidance of remote teams delivering FSA Medical, Emergency Response and Fire Services to key KPI’s
· Work with great Medical and Emergency Response Support team for successful role out of new FSA contracts
· Be AIIMS (Or Equivalent) qualified and experienced
· As an SME in Fire and Emergency Response and Rescue, ideally with Certificate IV in Emergency Response Coordination and or Certificate IV Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision), you will assist and lead your team and other FSA management in specialist matters as required.
· Facilitate and conduct Emergency Response Exercises with FSA, Client’s, and Public Services teams.
· Work alongside your peers and General Manager in terms of account management, bid support and commercial relations as required.
· Responsible for ensuring full Verification of Competency of all new MERS staff and development of individual personal development plans.
· Work to ensure that the FSA and Client values are both met and demonstrated within all teams.
· Manage and build key client relations
· Ensuring a focus on continual improvement and innovation within support and site-based teams.
· Through delegation and prioritisation demonstrate a proven capability to manage your time to meet operational requirements without over exertion.
· Be comfortable working away onsite as operationally required during initial project mobilisations and ongoing to retain team and client relationships.
· Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rites.
This is a full-time role with a total base salary package in the range of $140,000 - $160,000 (plus superannuation). Remuneration will depend on your experience and qualifications.
Based out of the FSA, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide training academies, there will as above, also be a requirement to travel in line with operational and business requirements.
