We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation looking to bring on a Finance Systems Manager to take ownership of their core finance systems. A high-impact role acting as the key link between Finance, IT and the wider business, shaping how systems support billing, revenue, reporting and decision-making across the organisation.
The Opportunity
* Own the day-to-day operation, configuration and integrity of the organisation's finance systems, including pricing, billing or project management, and revenue processes
* Maintain strong controls around financial accuracy, data quality and system balancing across month end, year end and audit cycles
* Act as Product Owner for system upgrades, patches, enhancements, integrations and UAT planning
* Drive financial, management and executive reporting through SSRS, Power BI and downstream data outputs
* Champion process improvements and system enhancements that reduce manual intervention while maintaining strong financial controls
* Translate commercial and operational requirements into clear system specifications for internal teams and vendors
* Provide leadership across finance systems resources and act as a trusted adviser to the CFO and Finance leadership team
What We're Looking For
* Hands‐on experience managing or owning enterprise finance systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
* Proven experience in a system ownership or managerial role rather than pure support
* Strong understanding of core finance modules including AP, AR, GL and Procurement, project management and complex financial workflows
* Advanced capability in SQL and reporting tools including SSRS and Power BI
* Track record delivering system upgrades, enhancements and data quality initiatives
* Strong communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
* Detail‐oriented and analytical with strong problem‐solving and collaboration skills
* Exposure to digital transformation, GenAI or Agentic AI adoption highly regarded
