About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and engaged Exercise Scientist to join the Focused on Care team. In this role you will be conducting pre-employment screening for staff being recruited into the business. You will work closely with the HR team to ensure effective and timely communication of information. Hours of the role can be flexible around your schedule (approximately 8-10 hours per week). As an Exercise Scientist you will:
* Conduct pre-employment functional and physical capacity screens
* Assess physical readiness, mobility, and injury risk to ensure candidates can safely preform role requirements
* Provide clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations to HR and management
* Contribute to a safe workplace by helping match capacity with job demands
What we are looking for
* Degree in Exercise Science or Human Movement
* Applicate is eligible for Accreditation as an Exercise Scientist with ESSA
* Current First Aid & CPR plus professional indemnity and public liability insurance
* Experience in functional capacity or pre-employment assessments (preferred, but not essential)
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
* Proactive approach to risk management and workplace safety
Benefits and Salary
* Generous $ $41.45 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) plus super and annual leave loading
* Flexible 1 day per week equivalent commitment (can be spread across multiple days and flexible hours)
