They are now looking for an experienced and committed Bookkeeper to join the team. In this collaborative role, you'll be working closely with a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper, providing the perfect opportunity to share ideas and learn from their extensive industry knowledge.
About the Role:
This is a parttime position offering up to 35 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and will be tailored as needed for the successful candidate to suit their goals and lifestyle. Responsibilities in general, include:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded in software (Xero)
* Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions regularly
* Assist with payroll processing, including superannuation, PAYG, and leave entitlements
* Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies or financial trends as needed
* Prepare and lodge BAS and ensure compliance with ATO regulations
* Support payroll processing, up to 25 employees
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing financial information
* 2+ years' experience working in a public practice accounting firm as a bookkeeper (or relevant role)
* Current and ongoing right to work in Australia
