Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer – Temporary
Your new companyThis values-driven not-for-profit organisation is based on Hobart’s Eastern Shore and delivers essential services to the local community. Due to an immediate operational need, they are seeking a capable Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a temporary basis and provide critical support to the finance function.
Your new roleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will step into a hands-on position responsible for end-to-end payroll processing alongside accounts payable duties. This is an operational role requiring accuracy, reliability, and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include processing payroll, managing employee records, supporting accounts payable functions, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. You will play an important role in ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time, supporting the organisation’s ability to continue delivering services to the community.
What you’ll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in payroll processing, with exposure to accounts payable. Experience using Employment Hero will be highly regarded. You must be immediately available to commence work and hold a current Working With Vulnerable People registration and National Police Check.You will bring strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the confidence to work independently while supporting a broader finance team.
