Versatile and commercially savvy Financial Controller sought for a high-profile local Non-Profit. Lead the finance function and champion growth for the organisation.
The successful candidate will support the COO and the Executive in achieving organisational objectives. Reporting to an experienced and supportive COO, you will together improve performance and raise the profile of both the finance function and organisation.
Expectations
* Become a valued partner to the business
* Implement an improved suite of reporting services and BI tools for key stakeholders
* Assisting in setting up new commercial entity
* Conduct reviews with existing customers and assist in going to market to win new customers
* Outcome driven (delivering on commitments)
Key Responsibilities
* Staff management, coaching and development of the Finance team (Team of five including two qualified Accountants)
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team
* Ensure the effective management of the financial accounting and related statutory reporting
* Prepare the annual budget and forecasts
* Liaise with auditors for the annual audit and internal audit
* Preparation of monthly Board pack and presentation to Board
* Collaborate with the business to target improvements
Desired Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or similar
* Possess a CA or CPA (or equivalent) qualification, including membership.
* Proven leader who can effectively manage and develop colleagues including qualified accountants
* High level of experience in financial management, financial reporting and budgeting
* History of adding value and initiating improved reporting
* Be comfortable presenting financial and non-financial information to the business
* Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous Financial Controller experience is not required - Finance Managers and Senior Accountants with the right skills and attitude looking for their next challenge are encouraged to apply
* Previous non-profit experience is not essential
