The Opportunity
To support our existing portfolio of projects, we are looking for a Fire Safety Engineer to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence national team. You will contribute to and assist on projects across Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of fire safety engineering design solutions across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects under the guidance of senior management and engineers. The role will also involve collaboration with fire protection engineering and other disciplines within KBR and externally as required.
Who are you?
As part of the work we do, it is a key requirement that you are an Australian citizen and either hold or are eligible for security clearance with the Australian Defence.
The key technical expectations for this role include:
Working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
Ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks.
Planning, scheduling, and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling.
