Senior Audit Manager Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join our team, responsible for providing assurance over distribution and products in Business Banking. The ideal candidate will have experience in internal or external audit, Line 2 risk management, or Line 1 financial services.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be able to focus on key issues and details. They will contribute to high-quality audit reports, supporting stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating as Team Leader across audits, effectively planning and delivering audits across Market, Liquidity, and Funding risks.
* Delivering assigned scope areas of the audit from Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting, and through to audit closure.
* Interviewing customers and conducting process walkthroughs to understand and risk assess the business' risk and control environment.
* Drafting issues and agreeing factual accuracy and ratings with stakeholders; preparing simple, meaningful, and easy-to-read audit reports and issue logs.
* Supervising, coaching, and supporting the development of more junior team members working on audits.
Requirements include:
* Valuation and modeling of financial instruments, such as IFRS 13 (fair value of financial instruments and derivatives).
* Experience with building, validating, and testing liquidity risk modeling and frameworks.
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Actuarial Studies, Finance, Business, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management (Line 1 or 2) or audit.
