Aboutthe role and team
There hasnever been a better time to join Hall & Wilcox as we continueto expand our firm's presence on the Whole of AustralianGovernment Legal Services Panel.
We now havean opportunity for an experienced senior corporate and commerciallawyer with between 5 and 9 years of PAE/PQE to work with a highlyregarded partner that is based in Melbourne. In this role, you willwork on a range of commercial law matters, including commercialcontracting, major projects and government procurement and probitymatters, for both Commonwealth and Victorian government departmentsand agencies.
At Hall &Wilcox we provide the full range of legal services to our publicsector clients, bringing both deep expertise and a freshperspective to their matters, and leveraging our leading andestablished practices across insurance and commercial law. Wepartner with clients at all levels of government, with key clientsincluding the Commonwealth Government, local councils, theVictorian and New South Wales State Governments and other largecorporate entities.
Aboutyou
You willideally have the following skills and experience:
* aminimum of 5 years of post-admission experience;
* experience working incommercial law in the areas of commercial contracting,government procurement, projects and/or probity;
* candidates with abackground working for, or with, the Department of Defenceand/or the Victorian government will be highlyregarded;
* aCommonwealth security clearance at NV1, NV2, or Baseline(minimum);
* theability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportiveand collaborative team; and
* theability to confidently run matters end-to-end, as well as theability to handle a busy workload with competingtimelines.
