The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter to take a leading role in assisting the site foreman in building dynamic construction projects from the ground up. This job includes assisting the site foreman with supervision and coordination of projects, and its ancillary items in accordance with Locagroup's predefined standards in construction. In conjunction, maintaining high client satisfaction through constant communication and great service is mandatory. About the Role
As a site-based role you will be responsible for the following:
1. The experienced carpenter provides leadership and is responsible for, although not limited to:
2. Supervising & leadership
3. Ensuring the safety of all on site personnel alongside the site foreman
4. Following WHS guidelines
5. Productivity of site personnel & quality control alongside the site foreman
6. High quality craftsmanship
7. Perform skilled carpentry work including but not limited to framing and fit out
8. Interpret technical drawings and specifications and execute precise details
9. Ensure quality and code compliance while collaborating with other trades to deliver structurally sound, high-standard results
10. Safety
Carpenters must provide leadership and work by example that results in safe work culture
1. Leadership & Supervision
2. Communicating the job to on-site personnel
3. Maintaining work standards and ensure onsite personnel morale and productivity
4. Workplace respect
5. Project policies and procedures
6. Quality Control
The carpenter is accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards;
* Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring personnel works to job specifications and follows plans
* Inspecting and measuring completed work
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper disposal of debris and materials
About You
Passionate: You have a strong passion for residential construction and have several years' experience in the industry and are ready to join a growing dynamic team
Communicator > You are someone who is comfortable dealing with internal and external personnel at all levels, including but not limited to site foreman, subcontractors, clients and architects
Go-getter – You are a natural team player and motivator who is results focused, with an ability to drive your team and subcontractors to achieve program milestones.
