A well established industry organisation is seeking an experienced Workforce & Skills Officer to play a key role in strengthening workforce capability across the Northern Territory.
Your new role
In this role, you will partner closely with industry, training providers, schools and government to identify skills shortages, support workforce development initiatives and promote vocational education and training pathways. You’ll contribute to the development of industry‑relevant training solutions, prepare high quality reports and advice, and represent the organisation at forums, committees and industry events.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building and managing strong relationships with industry stakeholders across the NT, including regional and remote communities
* Providing advice on workforce development, skills shortages, training packages and workforce solutions
* Supporting industry and training providers to implement workforce strategies and programs
* Preparing reports, briefing papers and communications
* Contributing to projects, evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
* Promoting VET pathways, workforce initiatives and industry capability development
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong knowledge of the VET sector, training packages and workforce development frameworks
* Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
* Excellent written, reporting and presentation capability
* High level of organisation with the ability to manage competing priorities
* A confident communicator able to engage with diverse industry and community groups
* Current NT Driving Licence and ability to meet required clearances
