About Us The Department of Education in Cairns is seeking a motivated and professional Executive Services Officer to join the Far North Queensland Region on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2026. Based in Cairns, this role provides efficient, effective and confidential executive and administrative support to senior regional officers, contributing to the smooth operation of the regional office. About The Role In this position, you will manage diaries and appointments, greet visitors, assess enquiries, and coordinate meetings, minutes, room bookings and regional functions. You will organise travel and accommodation arrangements, produce high-quality documents, maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems, and support the preparation of reports. The role also involves coordinating information flow across the office and liaising with staff, schools, government agencies, community organisations and external stakeholders. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High-level capability in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is essential, along with sound communication skills and the professionalism to handle confidential information.
