The new Midwifery Annualised Salary Agreement (MASA) agreement for Caseload Midwifery commenced 30 June 2025 and attracts a 40% annualization loading for caseload midwives - the equal highest rate in Australia. The annual salary for a WACHS Endorsed Midwife SRN3, dependent on your qualification, is between $197,192 and $199,943. Please see attached the WA MASA and FAQ's.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
This is an "open-ended" recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
* The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
* Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
* Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/03/2026
About The OPPORTUNITY
This role provides advanced midwifery assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to pregnant people and families within the scope of practice of an Endorsed Midwife. Also responsible for the utilisation of human, financial and material resources for the Midwifery Group Practice.
To be successful in this role, you will have…
* Demonstrated advanced clinical experience, knowledge and leadership in midwifery care across the continuum
* Well-developed clinical problem solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and health regulating Acts including legislative obligations
* Experience in quality improvement, its practical application in meeting patient's needs and its relationship to strategic development
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program website for eligibility criteria.
