Headland Technology is seeking to appoint a progressive and ambitious Financial Controller to support and enable Headland's continued growth trajectory.
This role is a fixed term of 8 months to cover Parental Leave.

As Financial Controller you will guide and influence the Departments continuous improvement initiatives built upon an advanced NetSuite ERP platform.
This strategic role within the business will provide invaluable Business Partnering support (by way of data driven insights) across the whole organisation and will have direct and regular access to the company's CEO and Board members.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial operations across multi-entity structures.
Prepare accurate monthly/quarterly management reports, annual financial statements and consolidated group reports.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and scenario planning.
Conduct P&L analysis, financial modelling, cost-control initiatives and margin optimisation.
Manage BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax and all statutory compliance obligation.
Leadership, Process Improvement & Team Management
Lead, coach and supervise your team, including conducting regular progress reviews and developing plans for performance improvement.
Implement and refine SOPs, workflows, financial controls and system improvements.
Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure financial accuracy across the Group.
Partner with senior leadership to provide insights, identify risks and support decision-making.
Provide strategic insights and financial guidance to support decision-making and organisational objectives.
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across financial processes.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll have experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IFRS, AASB) and financial reporting standards.
Significant experience (8+ years) in accounting, finance or commercial roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or Financial Controller capacity.
Proven background in managing end-to-end financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
Demonstrated capability in business partnering with operational teams and senior leadership to support strategy and performance.
Experience leading or supporting systems improvements, process optimisation and financial controls.
Experience with the NetSuite platform.
