About This Role
This position involves working on engineering investigations, design tasks, assisting the project management team, and performing administration duties.
The successful candidate will produce civil engineering designs that comply with standards and good practice, are accurate and innovative in concept yet cost-efficient in design production and construction.
They will investigate project-related infrastructure, drainage, environmental, and traffic issues to ensure the proposed works deliver the best outcome for the community.
The role requires close collaboration with the project management team, providing technical advice to support effective community engagement commitments throughout the scheme.
* Produce civil engineering designs that comply with standards and good practice, are accurate and innovative in concept yet cost-efficient in design production and construction.
* Investigate project-related infrastructure, drainage, environmental, and traffic issues to ensure the proposed works deliver the best outcome for the community.
* Work closely with the project management team, providing technical advice to support effective community engagement commitments throughout the scheme.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have civil engineering qualifications or extensive experience in a related field.
You will need demonstrated experience in:
* Civil infrastructure design using current principles and standards.
* Managing and delivering complex projects.
* Dealing with multiple stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of projects.
* Drafting skills including use of engineering software such as AutoCad, Civil 3D, and Civil Site Design.
* Engineering investigation work.
* A high skill level in the use of the Microsoft Suite of software specifically Word and Excel.
* The ability to work independently as well as assist others in time management to meet agreed deadlines.
* The ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and correspondence.
* Experience in a Local Government or design-related office.
* The ability to problem solve and remain agile when encountering project-related obstacles.
* A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
