One of our closest client is a specialist law firm dedicated to serving Australia's building and construction industry. The firm advises principals, consultants, developers, contractors and subcontractors nationwide across commercial contracting, dispute resolution, claims, and regulatory navigation.
The firm is known for providing accessible, practical and high‐quality legal services on projects ranging from civil construction and apartment towers to mixed‐use commercial developments and infrastructure projects across renewables, road, rail, water and more.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a 1–2 PQE Lawyer with experience in construction or property law to join their close‐knit and high‐performing team.
You'll work directly with partners and senior lawyers on high‐quality matters, gaining hands‐on experience across both front‐end and back‐end construction work—including:
* Drafting and negotiating commercial contracting documents, including construct‐only, D&C, subcontracts, consultancy agreements and supply agreements.
* Acting on claims, adjudications, mediation, arbitration, and litigation across multiple jurisdictions including NCAT, Local, District and Supreme Courts.
* Providing advisory support to clients navigating complex regulatory environments and industry frameworks.
This is an exceptional role for a junior lawyer seeking immersion in the construction and development sectors while building depth in both contentious and non‐contentious matters.
What You'll Bring
* 1–2 years' post‐admission experience in construction, projects, or property law.
* Strong drafting skills and an interest in commercial contracting.
* A proactive mindset and eagerness to develop technical expertise within a specialist practice.
