We are seeking an expert in circuit-QED quantum computing to lead the establishment of our National Quantum Computing Testbed Facility.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop research designs and proposals for the NQCT
* Provide expertise to end-users and ensure efficient operation of the facility
* Contribute superconducting quantum computing expertise to research methodologies
* Perform complex experiments, simulations, and feasibility studies
* Supervise research activities and develop new research products and technologies
* Design testing procedures and collaborate with industry and government
* Contribute to research outputs and grant applications
* Lead and develop the research team, support researchers, and foster collaboration
* Drive safety culture and represent the facility at events
* Support teaching activities and mentor staff and students
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in experimental solid-state quantum computing, an established research profile, and experience with superconducting quantum circuits, chip design, microwave engineering, and infrastructure operation. Supervisory experience and a record of service roles are also desirable.

This is a full-time, fixed-term Research Platform Academic position for up to 4 years. The base salary will be in the range $137,542.79 - $158,351.30 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level C). The position is based at our St Lucia campus.
