About the role
We have an opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to become a cherished member of our Residential Aged Care team in Kelmscott. This role ensures facility cleanliness and the provision of laundry services to prevent the spread of infections and disease. We have 2 part-time permanent positions. You must be available to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (48 hours a fortnight) or Thursday and Friday (24 hours a fortnight). All shifts run 07:00am- 13:30pm.
You will work across our site, carrying out cleaning duties and needs, creating a clean and safe environment for all employees and residents. Your responsibilities include using specialist cleaning equipment, handling chemicals safely, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Effective communication with residents, visitors, and staff, while respecting privacy and cultural needs, is key. You will also report daily activities and any maintenance issues to your direct report.
About you
You will possess a caring nature, be motivated to make a difference, and eager to join a team that is dedicated to improving the lives of others daily. You will understand the importance of putting residents at the centre of everything we do, tailoring your work to meet their individual needs. You will ensure you always prioritise a safe and healthy environment, along with the following experience:
* Infection Prevention Control certificate
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Good communication skills with a wide range of people
* Understanding of your own safety and that of others in the workplace
* COVID and Influenza vaccinations preferred but not required.
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
