We are excited to welcome the newest group of Qualified Electricians and Maintenance Fitters to the Real Pet Food team based in Yatala. Working in our Maintenance team you will be responsible for the provision of preventative and corrective maintenance as part of the factory maintenance schedule.
Our Yatala Site is known as a wet manufacturing site and processes our FRESH pet food using premium raw ingredients including raw animal protein. You must be comfortable working in an environment that processes raw meat.

* Monday to Friday / 6am-3pm

* Monday and Friday ONLY / 6am - 2.30pm
* Electricians
* Monday to Friday / Afternoon 2-10pm
* Electrician
* Weekend
* Saturday to Sunday / 6am-4.30pm

Key Responsibilities
* The efficient and hands-on repairs and maintenance of on-site production equipment, electrical systems or electrical sub components or instrumentation while adhering to safe systems of work, compliance to food safety and following engineering standards. You may work around equipment that handles raw meat during production.
* Electrical or machinery maintenance including unplanned (reactive/breakdown) as well as planned (corrective, preventative or rebuild work) for offline or online equipment.
* Be the first point of contact for electrical or mechanical maintenance requirements from on-site internal customers and escalate as needed in line with escalation protocols.
* Complete assigned or planned work and scope material or additional labour requirements. Investigate mechanical, electrical, control, infrastructure or automation systems and immediately escalate safety or food safety issues, near misses, incidents or hazards.
What will help you succeed
* Proven experience in a similar role within a food production or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication skills and sound judgment, especially in safety escalation.
* A strong team player, ready to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
* Proficient in computer skills with the ability to use our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
* Experience with inventory management.
* Flexibility to engage in all maintenance operations, beyond electrical tasks.
* Go-getter and proactive mindset to make a difference.
* Qualifications in Electrical Trades are essential (proof required).
