Threeways Roadhouse operates three sites across the Northern Territory and is seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team and support our dynamic retail operations.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring strong leadership, operational management, and customer service skills. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our retail outlets while maintaining high standards across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
* Manage, supervise and train retail staff across multiple sites
* Create and coordinate employee work schedules
* Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
* Foster a positive and productive team environment
Customer Service:
* Handle escalated customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism
* Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
* Manage conflict resolution effectively
* Build and maintain positive customer relationships
Inventory & Stock Control:
* Oversee stock levels, replenishment, and inventory control
* Take inventory of goods for sale and order new stock
* Examine returned goods and decide on appropriate action
* Maintain direct communication with suppliers
* Ensure optimal product mix and availability
Financial Management:
* Process daily banking and prepare reconciliation reports
* Provide required reporting of fuel, stock and sales
* Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement
* Assist with budgeting and cost control
Operational Management:
* Coordinate and manage on-site kitchen, supply and service operations
* Oversee presentation and preparation of quality food and grocery options
* Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards
* Ensure all areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Implement and monitor workplace OH&S compliance
* Manage facility maintenance and repairs as required

Essential Requirements:
* Certificate III/IV in Retail Management or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 1-2 years' supervisory or management experience in retail
* Previous experience in a service station, roadhouse, or similar retail outlet highly desirable
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Basic food handling and storage skills highly desirable
* Knowledge of OH&S regulations and compliance
* Ability to work in a remote location
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Computer literacy and experience with point-of-sale systems
