Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
We are seeking a Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our Berwick team in a dynamic rotational position. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and operates on a 7‐day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. This position offers a diverse caseload and the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills across a range of acute and rehabilitation settings.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality evidence‐based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including hydrotherapy where applicable.
* Work with patients to develop appropriate treatment goals and plans, following patient‐centred care principles.
* Establish and maintain direct working relationships with multi‐disciplinary colleagues, including active participation in team meetings.
* Use evidence‐based outcome measures and patient feedback to support quality assurance activities.
* Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster when required.
* Assist with education and training programs for students as requested.
* Complete administrative duties related to each session, liaising with office administration, reporting statistical data, and maintaining clinical documentation.
* Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist.
* Ability to work independently within a multi‐disciplinary team.
* Recent experience in physiotherapy services across relevant clinical settings, including hydrotherapy provision.
* Commitment to patient care as the core of all practice, supporting the Mission and Values.
Training & Support
* A structured supervision programme.
* Participation in the hospital‐wide new graduate development programme.
* Collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

* Salary: $70,866 to $97,980 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation (Grade 1).
* Fixed‐term full‐time (12‐month contract) positions available.
