Mater Health Services is seeking experienced administration support officers to join the team on a full-time, part-time, and casual basis.
Administrative Support Specialist
The ideal candidate will be able to work across various shifts within operational hours, with a preference for working between 7am-3pm and 10am-6pm.
The administrative support specialist will undertake a range of administrative activities and operations, applying their skills and experience while maintaining general knowledge of the work to be performed as a member of the central administration team at the hospital.
This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the patient experience.
* Maintain contemporary knowledge of best practice initiatives and processes associated with assigned duties and tasks.
* Undertake all assigned duties, tasks, and activities within scope of personal expertise and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and verbal or written work instructions of the hospital and/or Mater.
* Manage time effectively to meet task-associated deadlines, ensuring that those associated with the patient care experience take priority.
* Identify efficiency and improvement opportunities and participate in resulting change or implementation processes.
* Communicate verbally and in writing in a manner consistent with the professional image associated with the healthcare brand.
* Provide support and training to other members of the administration support team as required.
* Ensure work areas are in a serviceable and orderly condition at all times, with high regard for the storage of patient information and shielding it from the public and/or other parties not involved in a patient's episode of care.
* Undertake duties, tasks, and activities in other administration support officer positions located outside of Central Administration Support as required.
* Participate in creating an environment that strives for customer satisfaction.
About You
* Experience in a medical receptionist or customer service-focused position (highly desired).
* Proficient in written and interpersonal communication.
* Digital and computer literacy.
* Highly desirable experience using digital platforms.
