Program Manager, Technical Acquisitions (APS6)
The National Library of Australia is seeking to fill an ongoing Program Manager, Technical Acquisitions (APS6) role in the Collect and Acquire Section of the Collection Branch.
Responsibilities
* Inspect, locate and preserve digital files from physical carriers acquired by the National Library.
* Conduct quality assurance and manage the relocation of digital archives into a digital preservation system, adhering to archival management practices.
* Develop and enhance the National Library's obsolete physical carrier collection.
* Extract data from current and historical software and hardware.
* Provide high-level technical experience and knowledge to the technical acquisitions team.
* Support organisational reform and collaborate with team to shape the future direction of the Library.
Qualifications
* Qualifications or equivalent experience in digital preservation, computer systems engineering or computer science.
* Extensive experience in digital collection management and understanding of old and current technologies.
