The Hospital Coordinator is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital after hours.
Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking a highly organized and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospital Coordinator on a casual basis.
Responsibilities
* Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
* Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments
* Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
* Coordinate patient admissions
* Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
* Recent management experience at ANUM level or higher
* Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline or management (desired)
* Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desired)
* Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
* Ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios

With 60 inpatients Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation beds, a rehabilitation gym and 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula our facility averages 760 admissions per month. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane Northside.
