**About the role** 
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled APS4 Executive Assistant to join a dynamic team within a Federal Government Department on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-profile Federal Government client and support senior executives in their mission to serve the Australian people. 
We are seeking individuals with a proven background in administrative and executive support who can operate in a fast paced and changing environment, add value through their strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement and display drive and initiative. 
**Organisation**: Federal Government Department 
**Employment type**: Contract 
**Proposed start date**: Start date will be confirmed once onboarding is completed, which will take between 7-14 business days 
**Salary for fixed term contract**:$72,000 to $78,500 plus 15.4% Superannuation. This payrate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. 
**Working hours**: Full time (Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week) 
**Contract duration**: 6 months with potential extension 
**WFH options**: Flexible working arrangements, up to 3 days WFH per week 
**Eligibility requirements**: Must be Australian Citizen with existing Baseline clearance, OR be eligible to obtain and maintain Baseline 
**Key Responsibilities** 
As an APS4 Executive Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and secretarial support to senior executives. Your key responsibilities will include: 
- **Calendar Management**: Scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for senior executives and staff, ensuring efficient use of their time. 
- **General Administration Support**: Provide high quality, accurate, timely and professional administrative and logístical support to the executives, staff, stakeholders, and clients. 
- **Travel Coordination**:Management of branch finances and travel in line with allocated budgets. 
- **Document Management**: Drafting, editing, and proofreading documents, correspondence, and reports to a high standard. 
- **Meeting Support**: Attending meetings, taking accurate minutes, and following up on action items to ensure timely completion. 
- **Confidentiality**: Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information and handling classified materials as required. 
**Experience**: 
- A demonstrated ability to provide high-level executive support in a fast-paced workplace. 
- Strong organisational and time management skills. 
- Well-developed interpersonal, liaison and representational skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships. 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong attention to detail. 
- Proficiency in the use of office software, including Microsoft Office Suite. 
- A high degree of discretion and professionalism. 
- Knowledge of government processes and procedures (highly desirable).
