Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Youth Care Specialist to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supervising, supporting and promoting positive outcomes for children and young people in placement.
* Engaging positively with all children and young people, promoting their best interests, safety and well-being while holding a trauma-informed lens.
* Fostering a positive cultural identity within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
* Establishing positive relationships with extended family and the local Aboriginal community.
Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification or experience is desirable, Aspire can support you to upskill.
* Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment.
* Current National Criminal History Check Certificate.
* First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.
* A valid driver's licence.
* Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle.
