We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective human resources and payroll services to Members of the South Australian Parliament and their staff.

About the Role
">
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for reporting on employee leave entitlements, updating employee personnel records, providing advisory and administrative services for a range of workforce matters, processing documentation and reconciling timesheets and leave entitlements, including high volumes of casual timesheets.

Main Responsibilities

* Reporting on employee leave entitlements and updating employee personnel records;
">
* Providing advisory and administrative services for a range of workforce matters;
">
* Processing documentation and reconciling timesheets and leave entitlements, including high volumes of casual timesheets;
">
* Liaising with key stakeholders regarding complex queries relating to the payment of wages, leave entitlements, service audits, termination payments, additional hours and higher duties in line with South Australian Public Sector requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience in:

* Administrative and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to exercise initiative to determine priorities;

* Working in a busy team environment and being adaptable to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively to meet key deadlines;

* Managing politically sensitive issues while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times;

* Working collaboratively in a team environment with a shared responsibility for achieving results;

* Experience in the use of computer based office systems, including databases and spreadsheets, and undertaking word processing.
