As a senior operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our flower distribution center. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage sales, logistics, and team performance to ensure excellence across the board.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Drive Sales Performance
* Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth
* Build strong relationships with key retail partners
* Analyse sales trends and collaborate on promotional campaigns
2. Operations & Inventory Management
* Oversee receiving, processing, and dispatch of floral products
* Maintain high merchandising standards and ensure stock accuracy and freshness
* Manage logistics and order fulfilment
* Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment
* Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
3. Team Leadership
* Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to improve their skills and performance
* Conduct regular team meetings and feedback sessions
You will bring proven experience in sales and logistics, strong leadership skills, excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of WHS compliance and injury management is also essential. Floristry experience or qualifications are a bonus.
